Calm Down About AI Art
I made this a comment on a different post about someone worrying about AI art potentially stealing their work, but while I am extremely sorry for the length of this essay, I had some thoughts on this I think it might be useful for you people to hear. This unfortunately gets a little hostile at the end but in general is meant to be a frank explanation of what I’ve discovered personally about AI art as the daughter of a programmer currently obsessed with making AI art. I’m not necessarily pro-AI art, but I am a skeptic of anti-AI sentiment, even if I sympathize with and understand the sentiment completely. The fear of AIs stealing most anyone‘s personal art style is massively overblown and far as I can find, all the cases of actual recognizable art theft of artists who aren’t massively published creators with an international audience who have the money to survive it, have been of manipulated data where the AI had some form of help in creating it. Miracleverse Soundtrack (New Version!)
(Not actually new! Just a new post, lol!) So, now that the Miracleverse is over, I can finally update this again! I had to make this a new post because the old one doesn't work properly anymore now that Deviantart updated and destroyed the HTML input options, lol! I've uncovered the ??? ones now that there's no worry about spoilers, so feel free to pay attention that, if you want! I recommend listening to the playlist on shuffle so you don't get huge chunks of the same band, as they're put in order of when I received them. Hiatus/Miracleverse Update
... So, hey! It’s been a while, hasn’t it! There’s a lot of reasons why the hiatus continued so long, and I’m not going to apologize for having a life outside my stories (feel free to ask if you want to know the reasons), but I truly do promise I didn’t mean to and haven’t, abandoned the Miracleverse. The only thing I should apologize for is not updating you guys on it more, at least letting people know it’s not abandoned. That’s on me. But luckily, I do have good news! It turns out a lot of the problem was that it turns out my artist’s block wasn’t normal! It turns out that constantly not being able to do anything, even stuff you like or want to do? That’s a symptom of severely untreated ADHD. So, uh, I have medicine now! And, it, uh... works! I’ve been doing so much work now! So, since I’m not finishing the Miracleverse through art, what I decided to do is write down everything that was going to happen in each picture, along with a description of what the picture was
Guess Birthmas Eve is Coming
I realized I came back so close to a year after my hiatus that I guess it's time for the regular Birthmas Eve announcement! I know I've only been back a short time, so I don't expect many people are looking, but like... If anyone is looking at this page going 'I wonder what she wants for Christmas/I see her birthday's coming up', the answer is that if you want to give me gift art, I'd like Miracleverse pictures! Or like... any pictures, ever. I really don't care, the fact that people draw art for me legitimately makes me feel so happy I wanna cry; like... any art.
