My HC for ponies is that they don't actually have high school, and that once Elementary finishes (From 4-14) they either get an apprenticeship and work that way, or go to college in a major city. Meaning that ponies begin college at 15, and finish at 20. This unfortunately does leave emotional development gaps, and teenagers are teenagers, and they do stupid shit all the time.
This leads us to the story of Ditzy Doo, in her second year of college, 16 years old, and studying with her twin, Bubbly Doo ( images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__c… ) to become certified weather fillies. She's a naive young filly and she and her twin share an apartment because neither could afford a house on their own. Ditzy and Bubbly live a rather quiet life, aside from the bullying that continues to pour in from the ponies who grew up in her neighborhood, having never really escaped them since they all wanted to be weather ponies. Ditzy participates in an exchange program with Canterlots School for Gifted Unicorns, who needed a group of pegasi to teach the unicorns how weatherworks work. There, while teaching fillies and colts about how the weather factories work, she meets a handsome young colt named Perry Pierce ( images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__c… ), who, as a part of the Knights of Time, is there setting up an important event in history. He requests her help, as one of the only pegasi in the area, she's the only one who could help him. She and him perform seemingly random tasks across the school, while he makes subtle passes at her along the way. Eventually Ditzy notices how frequently he's brushing up against her flanks, and begins to suspect that he's not actually fixing history, but when she's about to confront him, a huge magical burst sends her tumbling into him. She blushes and stammers, and he drags her up, pulling out a clock, he congratulates her on stopping the reign of Nightmare Moon. He offers to make her his full time assistant, explaining that she'll never be missed. Ditzy angrily asks what he means by that, but he responds by flirting with her, claiming that he only meant that he's a Knight of Time, and as such, once she wants to leave, he can just bring her right back here. She accepts (mostly because of hormones. Never give a 16 year old choices that will affect their entire lives) and they go on Doctor Who-like adventures, although Perry slowly reveals himself to be crueler and meaner than he initially let on. He's not evil, he's just kind of a dickwad. Ditzy falls in love with him anyway, being a hormonal teen on an adventure, she and him fight monsters together and save the world across several time planes. Eventually during one mission where Perry saves her life, they end up in a bar in the far past, and get drunk. Being drunk hormonal teens, they end up making whoopee, and while Perry isn't exactly pleased with the turn of events, they continue dating, although he gets more irrational and irritated more often. Ditzy eventually realized she was pregnant, and, terrified for the foals safety on their adventures, and confronted Perry, requesting that she go home, but wanting him to at least stay with her. He refused and dumped her outside her house, a week ahead of when they left together. Bubbly rushes out and hugs her, telling her about how worried they got about her, fearing that the magical blast at the academy had transformed her into something else. Ditzy tells her about what happened to her, and Bubbly calls their older sisters over, who all comfort her and help her decide what to do. Equestria's orphanage systems aren't very good, and Ditzy wants to keep her kid. Now, she's decided to raise her foal with the help of her family, having such a big family, the support from them made it easier.
This picture takes place after Sparkler was born, and this is Ditzy's first family picture, wanting to take one every year. She convinced Bubbly to step into the picture, and she obliged. I might do more of these, one for every time Ditzy's family expanded, included when she met Time Turner. Should I?
