Jelly Opal

INTRODUCING THE EQUESTRIA GEMS! The Mane 6 as Crystal Gems! Self explanatory, really. All of them are Crystal Gems, as such, all have the star insignia somewhere on them instead of something else. An interesting design choice I decided would be that, similar to how all of the Mane 6 are (or were, not counting Alicorn Twilight) two of each, three of the Equestria Gems have defined lips like Garnet and Amethyst, three don't. Three have eyes like Sapphire and three don't. Simple. Taaffeite has simple eyes and lips, while Ammolite has Sapphire eyes and simple lips. I have a mythology set up for them already, which comes together with all of them, but I have yet to define their homeworld as Earth, considering the backstory is slightly different and clashing slightly with Steven Universe's events, and as such, may not take place on the same world as Steven's, at least, not without significant alterations to the Equestria Gems canon. Despite this, I don't want to specify it as not Earth, as it could still be Earth, and I don't want to ruin the idea of crossovers. And I would love to see people use the Equestria Gems canon if they so desire, seriously! All I ask is that you try to stay with the ideas I've lined out, and feel free to ask questions about everything! You can absolutely use these designs, IF YOU CREDIT ME AND RESPECT MY WISHES! Since this is kind of my idea and design (this specific canon, I do not own the idea of the Mane 6 as Gems, obviously) I would like if you asked questions about this! In short:

Meet Jelly Opal; Taaffeite and Ammolite's fusion! AKA, The OTP fusion~. Don't worry, this story has little to do with shipping I don't know if I plan for any pairings to happen, but I do know that this is my OTP, so I love this gal too~
She's a huge party animal, seriously. She's gonna rock the house down to the ground. And that's likely very literal, in the case of this overenthusiastic ball of pure energy. Jelly Opal combines Taaffeite and Ammolite's boundless energy into one super energized ball, with Ammolite's focus grounding them only barely. Jelly Opal has a near infinite amount of energy, but her impatience is the end of her, with Taaffeite and Ammolite both so easily bored, the result is that Jelly Opal is constantly changing activities in a blur of excitement and impatience. She has a love of partying, just like Taaffeite, but Ammolite's hardcore 'everything to 11' makes her parties into destructive whirlwinds of activities that are more likely to burn your house down than anything else. She's also mischievous to the extreme, with two pranksters combined comes a lack of restraint that means the pranks never end with Jelly Opal. She'll stop if someone's upset, likely unfuse, but she's most likely already pranking somebody else by the time you realize she's pranked you. Neither of them have much respect for authority with Ammolite just disobeying rules on principle, and Taaffeite just not realizing the rules are there, so Jelly Opal is rather... lenient on rules. If the rule is boring, she doesn't follow it.  It takes a lot to unfuse them, mainly when Ammolite goes to far with her pranks, or someone is upset. Or Taaffeite ate too much, since Ammolite doesn't like eating much. She doesn't hate it, but she can't stand how much Taaffeite eats.
For this reason, Jelly Opal is a rarely called upon fusion, if only because it takes so much for them to unfuse and her energy can be difficult to handle, as well as her refusal to listen to others. Jelly Opal's appearances are generally treated like Sugilite's were among the Crystal Gems. An uncontrollable force that should only be called upon in dangerous situations. Usually the need is for aerial bombing attacks or situations where they need someone high energy, even more than Taaffeite or Ammolite as single Gems. But sometimes, and it's easy to tell when, (Perryville is on fire or on high alert) Taaffeite and Ammolite will fuse 'just because', or because they want to go on an epic pranking spree. Sometimes they just fuse because it's awesome. Fusing is awesome. They're awesome. Jelly Opal is awesome.
Design wise, I chose colors from these pictures of jelly opals, for her body and gem, but for her outfit, it's a combination of Pinkie and Rainbow's Fall Formal dresses. The dress main color and main top color for RD and Pinkie respectively became her coat's color, RD's armbands were colored to the rainbow of Jelly Opal's gem, and Pinkie's were colored with RD's sleeves. Her star is simply a mix of the two's main star and then saturated better. The belt and bow come from the bows on Pinkie's outfit and belt on RD's. The upper skirt is ripped straight from Pinkie's dress, as is the frills from RD's dress, while the main color is Pinkie's mane instead. Her shoes are a perfect mix of the colors, with the bow moved to the side to mimic wings.
Her cannons gained size and diversity, and now have aerial capabilities, plus they shoot rainbows. Never underestimate shooting rainbows. Her wings became suitably bigger but also a lot more floofy and less aerodynamic.
