Fizzy Pop is an excitable mare who works at Maretropolis Marzipan Market. She was imbued with amazing powers when she fell into the newest candy maker of the store, making her super fast due to the pure sugar and super flexible due to the taffy. She was found by Zap when she zoomed by, challenging her to a race. Zap, overconfident and daring, found herself being beaten by a 'common mare'. Fizzy Pop found the experience exhilarating and the most fun she'd ever had. She invited Zap to her bakery and they became friends. Soon, they were hanging out all the time, and one day, while hanging out, Zap was captured by The Weathermare, a villain introduced in Zap's origin story. Fizzy Pop rushed to the rescue of her friend, and saved her, earning a place in the Power Ponies. First appears in issue 4# "The Fastest Mares Alive Part 2".

Don't ask how her origin makes any sense, Equestria's comics are still in the Silver Age. Nothing makes sense yet CX. Next up is Pepperdance, AKA Mistress Mare-velous.
