So my friend has a new group, and HOLY FUCK I LOVE THE CONCEPT! So I joined, and I've worked up this thing for applying. I didn't have a reference for shiny Ivysaur vines, so I guessed. I hope its ok that she's shiny. It wasn't for specialness, I just thought the colors fit better for the character I wanted to do. She's based on me, but with some differences. Her name is because I always name my pokemon after something related to their species, or human names. Since I like the theme names better, she's named after a vine called Chayote en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chayote

PERSONALITY
Chayote is a quiet and meek Ivysaur, and although full of battle strategies and interesting facts, she's terrible at battling, with weak moves and low level (19) she's not that formidable. She likes talking, yet she is mostly shy, apologetic for the simplest things. Once you get to know her, you will find a sharp tongue and repressed anger towards how life in Pokeopolis works, having just moved here, she could only afford a run down hut in a seedy (hehe puns) part of the city. She secretly publishes a newspaper, where pokemon can secretly send her letters on goings on and opinions, where she advertises it (via posters put up in the dead of night) as the only way in the city to express your opinions without being judged or worse, silenced. She doesn't know it yet, but she's probably made a couple enemies....

HISTORY

Early History:
Chayote was raised in a small village of Bulbasaur and their evolutions, as such she never learned much about the world outside her village from experience, instead preferring to bury herself in books to learn about the outside. By 16 she had read all the books in the library, and began sending out for books. When she became frustrated with the stoppage in knowledge she began her packing and prepared to move out of her hometown, rich in knowledge but with jack all in the term of experience.

Recent History:
Hearing about Pokeopolis, she came to the city on a bus, overwhelmed with the size and variety of the city, she realized that she had little more than 900 Poke to her name, and had no job. She set up shop in the cheapest place she could find, a hovel that was suspiciously cheap, but as a naive pokemon she didn't take the hint from the shifty Grovyle who sold it to her for 800 poke and ran off. She discovered why the house was so cheap, it was beat to hell and dusty, but she refused to accept defeat, and fixed it up as best she could, and bought a printing press off the market and while buying lunch, was mugged and her food was stolen. She decided to complain to officials, but to no avail, there was no chance of them being able to stop the thieves even if they wanted to. She angrily wrote a letter to no one, and realized that she couldn't be alone in the fight for truth. But as a weak and shy pokemon, she couldn't fight for the truth, but she could write for it. She can be found looking for a job and hanging around the local coffee shop.

"Ugh, seriously, I know I live in a hovel, but it's kind of annoying to have to do this every rain seasons." Chayote growled at no one in particular, as she looked up at her roof and sighed. She knew if she didn't do this, she would have to cover her printing press, but she hated having to climb up on the roof just to seal up the patches. "Ok, so I guess I better get the ladder..." She mumbled, walking back into her house, careful to step over the patches of mud and bugs, not wanting to deal with pest control as well as this stupid leak. The ladder was hidden in her closet where most of her stuff lied, but she hesitated to open it, fearing the worst. Steeling her resolve, she gingerly stepped forward, then stopped, slapping her face with her vine. "Come on, Chayote, it's just some stupid closet, just use your vines!" Scolding herself, she pulled the door open with her vines, and stepped back. She shielded her eyes in preparation for the onslaught of dust, but nothing came. Sighing in relief, she grabbed the ladder, and her molted leaves and petals. Because she had little to her name, she used the leaves and petals she shed to patch up her roof. Arceus she despised having no job.
